Burnt Orange Dress

What started out as a fall color only, has transformed into a must have color to wear year round. And yes you guessed it- I'm talking about burnt orange! It's interesting that I started falling in love with this flattering shade of orange about a year ago when it's my alma mater's color (The University of Texas at Austin), and I rarely rocked burnt orange back when I was in college.

There's something edgy and playful about this color that I think looks amazing on any skin tone. I kept this look simple and kept the burnt orange dress by Nordstrom the star piece by adding a navy bandana to complement the outfit. My go to shoe to make legs look leaner and longer are nude heels or wedges, so you can never go wrong them!

What are your thoughts on burnt orange and do you find it versatile year round?

Blush Flutter Sleeves

Another trend that is making a huge wave at every store that I walk into are flutter sleeves. Gotta love these flirty details that turn a basic top into anything but simple and boring. The top itself can be a standalone statement piece with its voluminous sleeves that adds the perfect amount of elegance. I couldn't help but pair this blush beauty with this gorgeous Chamorel necklace I snagged at the Luxury Garage Sale pop up shop. Together, these pieces are a match made in heaven and elevate the glamorous yet casual look effortlessly.

Do you own any tops with flutter sleeves? If so, I'd love to hear how you style them!

Rocker Vibes

At first glance you might be surprised to notice that I'm sporting an edgier look than normal with a punk rocker vibe that you can rarely find in my closet. Truth be told, I grew up experimenting with different types of styles and shopped often at Hot Topic. I love carrying that part of my adolescence into my twenties because I'm a firm believe you can rock any style at any age. Graphic tees also are making a huge comeback and can easily be styled with any pair of jeans or a skirt.

In this look, I threw this awesome Ramones tee over a super girly striped skirt to tone the feminine style down a bit. Added the pointed booties and a pop of mustard cross-body bag to finish off the transformation!
